Park joins the global asset management giant as a Managing Director and will operate directly out of the firm's regional hub in Singapore. The high-profile hire underscores DWS's aggressive campaign to deepen its alternative asset distribution footprints and capture the swelling pool of sovereign, institutional, and private capital across major North and South Asian wealth nodes.
“We are pleased to welcome JB to the platform at a time when APAC investors are increasingly rotating allocations toward experienced, cycle-tested institutional managers capable of securing resilient real assets and defensive private credit yield opportunities” Vanessa Wang, Regional Head of Asia Pacific at DWS Group
Key Operational Mandates
In his new capacity, Park will directly oversee the cross-border distribution and investor engagement strategies for DWS’s comprehensive global alternatives franchise across the region.
His core mandates will focus heavily on three high-conviction thematic channels currently anchoring regional allocator demand: Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Private Credit. To support this institutional push, Park will take immediate management control of a cross-border sales and investor relations team deployed strategically across four primary financial capitals:
    • 🇸🇬 Singapore
    • 🇭🇰 Hong Kong
    • 🇰🇷 Seoul (South Korea)
    • 🇯🇵 Tokyo (Japan)
Professional Background & Track Record
Park brings more than 20 years of institutional capital-raising, regional fundraising, and cross-border investment execution experience to DWS.
He joins the firm following a highly successful 15-year tenure at LaSalle Investment Management, where he most recently served as Head of Investor Relations for Asia-Pacific. During his leadership at LaSalle, Park was instrumental in orchestrating major pan-Asian fundraising campaigns, securing over USD 1.8 billion in fresh, long-term capital commitments from major sovereign and institutional allocators across Japan, Australia, and South Korea.
Additionally, his prior tenure at LaSalle included roles as Head of Global Partner Solutions APAC—where he led indirect investment programs and finalized five complex joint-venture platform transactions—Head of Investor Relations for Korea, and Head of Korean Real Estate Acquisitions. Before his long career at LaSalle, Park served as the Head of Alternative Investments for Korea at Standard Chartered Bank, following early capital markets roles at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers.
Strategic Institutional Commentary
The tactical executive appointment arrives as international fund managers race to scale their private market footprints to absorb defensive capital amid broader macroeconomic volatility. DWS, which manages over USD 1.2 trillion in global assets under management (AUM), views APAC as a critical pillar for its global private markets pipeline.
