Sami Abouzahr has been appointed Head of International Wealth and Premier Banking, UAE and Middle East, at HSBC. He will lead international wealth and premier banking for the bank across the UAE and Middle East.

Vijay Solomon has been appointed Managing Director at Nomura International Wealth Management in Singapore. He will serve as a managing director in the Singapore market for the wealth manager. His post covers managing director responsibilities in Singapore, and he will work in that senior capacity for Nomura International Wealth Management, with coverage of the Singapore market for the wealth manager.

Alvin Chiam has been appointed Head of Wealth Advisory, Asia at Schroders Wealth Management. In this senior post he will lead wealth advisory across Asia for the wealth manager. He will cover wealth advisory in the Asian market and will head that advisory function for Schroders Wealth Management throughout Asia, holding overall responsibility for wealth advisory coverage across the region.

Cynthia Lai has joined Deutsche Bank Private Bank in Singapore as head of managed investments for emerging markets, effective 20 October 2026. She moves from Bank of Singapore, where she was head of managed solutions advisory. The hire forms part of Deutsche Bank Private Bank's continued expansion of its emerging markets business across the region.

Daniel Soo has been appointed managing director and head of private banking in Singapore at RBC Wealth Management Asia. He has more than 30 years of experience in wealth management and private banking, with senior roles at UBS, Credit Suisse and Standard Chartered Private Bank. Since joining RBC in 2024 as market head, he has grown the Singapore private banking team and taken the regional strategy forward. He will oversee how the private banking strategy is carried out in Singapore, concentrating on bringing in new clients and deepening ties across important Asian markets.

Sean Tascatan has been appointed Chief Investment and Growth Officer at Nest Wealth Asset Management.

Hsieh Fu Hua will become independent chairman and non-executive independent director of CapitaLand Investment, the Singapore real asset manager, from 1 January 2027. Aged 75, he was appointed the group's deputy chairman in August and has held senior leadership posts at Singapore Exchange, Temasek and UOB. He chairs the National University of Singapore board of trustees and, from August, the National Wage Council. He will succeed Miguel Ko, who retires as non-executive chairman and non-independent director on 31 December, and take the independent chair of the group.

SBI Funds Management has appointed Srinivas Jain as Joint CEO.

Singapore's Eastspring Investments has promoted Pierre-Julien Jandrain to chief risk officer.

Wendy Lai has joined Bank of Singapore as team head for lending advisory solutions, in a senior hire for the lending team in Hong Kong. She will lead lending advisory solutions for that team.

Scott Yin has been appointed chief executive officer of Zurich China at Zurich Insurance Group, pending regulatory approval. The Swiss insurer wants faster growth in China, a priority market in Asia-Pacific, and he will be based in Shanghai, reporting to Eric Hui, chief executive of Greater China. Zurich has highlighted his technical expertise, commercial leadership and knowledge of the Chinese insurance market, his support for Chinese firms expanding overseas, and his background in motor and electric vehicle pricing and underwriting. He will lead further commercial insurance growth, broaden retail products and work with Zurich Cover-More on Travel Guard products in

John Chen has been appointed interim head of JD Allianz Insurance.

Ying Ying Tan has been promoted to global head of securities services and digital assets at Standard Chartered. In this senior role she will now lead securities services and digital assets for the firm, covering both businesses on a global basis. Her remit at Standard Chartered spans securities services and digital assets across global markets, with responsibility for both areas worldwide.

Prasirt Rerkumnuaychok has been appointed chief distribution officer of ERGO Thailand. The role covers distribution for ERGO in Thailand.

Siew Choo Tan will succeed Ivan Chan as Asia chief executive of Helvetia Baloise. Siew Choo Tan will take the Asia chief executive role at the insurer.

Victor Limlingan has been appointed president and CEO of SSS, the Philippine pension fund. He will lead the pension fund in the Philippine market in these senior posts. As president and CEO he will head SSS, with charge of the Philippine pension fund. The two roles place him at the head of SSS, where he will lead the pension fund.

Hayley Lai has joined RBC BlueBay as director of marketing for APAC.

Samdarshi Vikram Singh has been appointed chief executive officer for India at IBISA.
