Five Hong Kong family offices have established Inspira, a closed-end fund with a target size of US$100 million. The fund concentrates on private credit and other stable-income projects. It is positioned to attract capital from affluent families, including those evaluating residency under Hong Kong’s Capital Investment Entrant Scheme.
Under the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme, applicants who invest at least HK$27 million in eligible assets and place a designated portion into a specified investment portfolio may qualify for residency. The Inspira fund is structured to serve as a vehicle for such capital while providing exposure to non-bank lending and income-oriented private-market strategies.
The backers of the fund include Wings Capital, Parkville Group Holdings, Noblesse Capital Group, Trendy Group International and Park Capital Group. The vehicle seeks to pool capital from family offices and international investors seeking access to private-credit opportunities that are not always available through traditional private-banking channels.
The launch coincides with ongoing policy measures intended to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a family-office and cross-border wealth centre. These measures include targets to attract additional family offices through 2028 and the expansion of qualifying investments under preferential tax regimes for funds and family-owned investment holding vehicles.
Family-office capital is being aggregated into dedicated private-credit structures that also serve residency-linked investment requirements.
For private-wealth platforms, external asset managers and private-credit originators the development supplies a concrete example of family-office capital being institutionalised into a dedicated private-credit vehicle that is also aligned with residency policy. Allocators tracking Asia-Pacific private-credit flows will note the combination of local family-office sponsorship and demand linked to the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme.
